Our motto at Wolters Kluwer is “when you have to be right.” As the healthcare industry continues its shift to value-based care, we recognize that the stakes for “getting it right” the first time are higher than ever for today’s stakeholders. That’s why our mission is focused on providing the most advanced clinical decision support infrastructures to empower today’s clinicians with the best guidance for optimal outcomes.
We are especially proud to highlight the latest achievement of our Pharmacy OneSource Sentri7® clinical surveillance offering. In the Clinical Decision Support 2016 report from KLAS, Sentri7 achieved the highest overall score in the Surveillance category, garnering high scores in 15 out of 20 indicators.
It’s not the first time Sentri7 has received high marks from the leading research group. Sentri7 also captured the Category Leader designation for Clinical Decision Support – Surveillance in 2013 and 2015/2016 Best in KLAS: Software and Services reports.
In the latest clincal decision support (CDS) report, analysts cited Wolters Kluwer’s attentive service, stability and customizability as key differentiators for Sentri7, and customers cited its recent shift toward providing more consultative support, a move they credited with helping them to gain more in-depth knowledge. The KLAS report rates healthcare IT vendors and bases its findings on interviews with numerous healthcare professionals about their utilization of CDS resources within five categories: Surveillance, Infection Prevention, Order Sets, Care Plans, Point of Care and Diagnostic Support.
We are honored by this rating – a recognition made possible by the willingness of our customers to share with KLAS their positive experiences about our solution. One pharmacy director interviewed by KLAS commented: “Wolters Kluwer has been providing more consultative support recently, and that has helped us gain more in-depth knowledge.”
The electronic surveillance solution also scored well in the Infection Control category, with an overall performance rating of 89.5. Further, 92 percent of customers surveyed by KLAS noted that they would buy Sentri7 again, and 89 percent indicated it is part of their long-term infection prevention plans.
Backed by the powerhouse Wolters Kluwer CDS offerings of UpToDate and Clinical Drug Information, hospitals and health systems across the U.S. are leveraging Sentri7 to address such high-level initiatives as medication management and safety, infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship. The results of using Sentri7 speak for themselves:
